In addition to Solo Leveling Season 2, Crunchyroll's March 2026 home video slate also includes Dragon Ball Daima and Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time.
The anime’s Blu-ray release comes about a year after Sony officially confirmed Solo Leveling as the most-watched anime TV series on Crunchyroll in its Business Segment Presentation & Fireside Chat 2025 report. However, despite the show’s record-breaking viewership numbers, Solo Leveling Season 3 has yet to be confirmed. In an interview following the Arise From the Shadow finale, which aired in March 2025, Crunchyroll’s Head of Theatrical & Distribution, Mitchel Berger, shared that there is no concrete timeline for Solo Leveling Season 3, but ensured that fans will see more of Sung Jinwoo in the future.
The ‘Solo Leveling’ Franchise Is Expanding With a Movie and a Live-Action Series
The Solo Leveling franchise is continuing to expand despite the uncertainty surrounding Season 3. In July 2025, Netflix confirmed the production of a live-action adaptation of the original South Korean web novel by Chugong. The upcoming series will star Byeon Woo-seok (Lovely Runner) as Sung Jinwoo and Han So-hee (Gyeongseong Creature), as Cha Hae-In, with Lee Hae-jun and Kim Byung-seo serving as co-directors.
Additionally, a Solo Leveling movie is reportedly in the works with a potential release window set for 2026. Although no official statement has been made about the film’s production, multiple leaks have hinted at it. The rumors gained significant traction after Chugong’s interview with Russian digital bookseller and audiobook service LitRes, where he discussed the future of the franchise. When asked if he had received any offers for film adaptations, the author revealed that "several discussions" were ongoing regarding the project.
Another piece of evidence pointing to a Solo Leveling movie is an alleged leaked financial document discovered on a Korean forum by an X user. The document, reportedly released by the anime’s production company, alleges that the movie is scheduled for next year and is set to replace Solo Leveling Season 3. If that is true, the film will follow in the footsteps of other anime-to-film adaptations, including Demon Slayer and Chainsaw Man. However, the validity of the document has not been officially confirmed, and D&C Media has yet to comment on the leak.
